Divide by Zero - Website
A simple, user-friendly website for my band, featuring our latest music, merch, and tour dates.
The website colors and branding are based on the promo art for our single “Sure as Hell”
The Evolution of the Divide by Zero Logo
This logo was featured on our band’s original demo tape in 2017. The paint splatter brings a raw, punk energy, and while the serif font contrasts with the aesthetic and the splatter affects legibility, it still stands as a bold first step in shaping our visual identity.
In 2020, we introduced a cleaner, more legible logo. My intention was to create a distressed design that would look great on a t-shirt. We finally released the shirt in late 2023. This font was also used on the cover of our first EP.
In 2021, we introduced a new logo to promote our single You Know I’m Not Sorry.
The neon colors draw inspiration from ‘80s Miami and the early 2020s vaporwave trend.
This design also pays tribute to the original Divide by Zero logo I created as a teenager. While the band didn’t officially form until 2016, I had been using the name for my early demos.
While the original logo had its flaws, it’s rewarding to see how my skills have evolved over the years. It’s also a nice reminder that I’ve achieved my goal of becoming a professional digital artist.
